In addition, energy efficiency attempts were achieved by distributing 600 sets of lightbulbs (each set contained energy-certified 6 light bulbs) purchased by HMN. They were distributed at 94 workshops, resource fairs, LAUSD community events, and HMN's visitors who were invited to participate in the program. Another indicator of the program's success is the distribution of 109 aerators and shower heads. We also distributed 30 Home Depot gift certificates.
We also use the practical tool, the wheel format educational tool, this wheel contains information on how to save energy and water at home. Participants can take home a physical copy of the wheels to help them make a difference in acquiring knowledge through interacting with family members and neighbors about changing water and energy conservation behavior. We are confident that we have made a difference and achieved participation by engaging.
The phone calls will assess behavioral changes after taking the workshops. The sample was randomly chosen among those who had taken the workshops between August 28, 2022, and February 9, 2023. They were asked whether they had implemented tips learned at the seminars and consequently changed their water and energy conservation behavior.
